On November 15, 2024, the 20th Anniversary of the Functional Unit of Bone Tumors and Sarcomas HUB-ICO, a pioneering reference center in the multidisciplinary treatment of sarcomas in Spain, was held in the Auditorium of the Duran i Reynals Hospital (Catalan Institute of Oncology) in Hospitalet de Llobregat. The Anna Rovira Codina. Stop Sarcoma Foundation (FUNDARC) was invited to this event.

Upon arriving at the center, we were welcomed by the eminent sarcoma doctor Xavier García del Muro, founder of the Functional Unit of Sarcomas, who informed us how the day would go and introduced us to the scientist-researcher Dr. Óscar Martínez Tirado, head of the Sarcoma Research Laboratory (IDIBELL) who explained to us the projects he was working on that excited us a lot.

During the day, the different speakers, pathologists, radiologists, surgeons and researchers, presented the main highlights in the treatment and diagnosis of soft tissue and bone sarcomas. The FundARC team would like to thank the efforts of the scientists and teachers who put their effort and knowledge into combating this disease every day.
