Our goals
In line with the founding purposes of FundARC, we have established these goals that we want to achieve to respond to gaps that currently exist in relation to the diagnosis, treatments and awareness of sarcoma:
Find markers that allow sarcoma to be detected. They already exist for other types of cancer, but not yet for sarcoma. Since it can manifest itself in any part of the body, it is very often diagnosed too late.
Carry out effective lines of research to find new, more effective and less invasive treatments that allow patients to extend their life expectancy, and even allow their complete recovery in cases that are not possible today.
Raise awareness in society about sarcoma and expand the knowledge and competencies on this malady among primary care health personnel, in order to be able to detect sarcoma more and improve the prognosis for the patient, while there are no more effective diagnostic and treatment methods.
